"Oinori" was conceived as an antidote to the increased cases of discrimination against Asian Americans since the pandemic began. It was designed to express hope and admiration for AAPI culture's beauty. This piece is called “Oinori” 「お祈り」”prayer/wish” in Japanese, and my hope is to inspire approaching all with kindness and justice.
